Niki Black has always called Southwest Iowa Home. A Council Bluffs native and graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. She has worked in healthcare for more than 25 years – starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, then as a staff Physical Therapist Assistant primarily in sports medicine and orthopedics for 6 years, then 15 years as Director of Rehabilitation in skilled nursing facilities and now the Director of a Non- Medical HomeCare company for the last 2 years, working with seniors to help them thrive at home as long as possible.
Niki’s passion for helping others is rooted in family and community – inspired as a child by her aunt’s determination to continue living independently following a motorcycle accident that left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Niki loves watching others discover their own strengths and abilities, while helping them reach their goals, as well as being by the water, jogging, playing volleyball and supporting her
2 teenagers in all of their various activities.
