Newly retired, Deborah Ward spent the last 18+ years with Visit Omaha, leading the city’s official tourism authority in securing convention, event and sporting business for the metro area with the goal of stimulating economic growth across the community. Under her leadership, tourism grew into a $2 billion-a-year industry and now supports more than 15,000 local jobs for our friends, family and neighbors.
Prior to her work at Visit Omaha, Deborah spent 26 years as an award-winning journalist for the CBS television affiliate in Omaha.
